It's official: the next console is coming in 2020. It's called Xbox Series X and was revealed during The Game Awards. Yet despite getting an actual name and even a picture, concrete details are still few and far between. The trailers did the usual boasting of its ability to transport gamers to new worlds and show amazing graphics. Then Xbox head Phil Spencer himself took to the stage✨ to describe the Series X in vague terms.

Phil Spencer called it the "fastest, most powerful Xbox" and pointed specifically to its performance, speed, and compatibility. He also reminded viewers that Microsoft's 15 Xbox-owned studios are working on exclusive games for the launch window. Then, after his speech, he introduced the first Xbox Series X game: Senua's Saga: Hellblade II.

Spencer also made it a point to say that the Hellblade II footage was pulled entirely from in-engine. If true, it promises amazing things for the Xbox Series X. The fac♈ial animations alone look extremely realistic and show propensity for details like eye twitches and believable mouth movements.

As forꦓ the Xbox Series X itself, it looks a lot like a PC. It's taller than most consoles and seems pretty chunky. The controller s൲eems largely unchanged, minus some new button at the center. Perhaps its some kind of social button?

Also unmentioned was the price of the Xbox Series X. Essentially, it would be easier to list what is known about the Xbox Series X. That's that it's coming holiday 2020, it's a chunky boi, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is a likely launch game.

That is to be expected from a Game Awards announcement, though. The show moves fast, and Microsoft was probably given a limited time. We're also still in the middle of the current holiday season, and hyping next year's brand-new Xbox too much would cut into Microsoft's holiday 2019 sales. GameStop 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:pretty much said the same thing earlier this week.

But hey, at least we know it's not called Project Scarlett now. And Hellblade fans should be happy with that surprise sequel a𒁃nnouncement.
