Unlike previous XCOM titles, players take control of premade characters in XCOM: Chimera Squad with unique abilities. Players can still customize these character's loadouts, but the traditional class system from past games is gone𒅌.

This has resulted in interesting synergies and team compositions that would be hard to replicate in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:XCOM 2. With a mix between humans and aliens, the strategies and synergies players can devise are some of the most interesting the series has seen. No Agent in Chimera Squad is bad. In fact, most are powerful and well-balanced but still, some are beneficial to the squad more often than others. Here are all 11 Agents in XCOM: Chimera Squad ranked from worst to best.

11 Axiom

If this list rated Agents based on overall fun factor, Axiom w♉ould be in the top spot. In terms of viability, Axiom is incredible early game but struggles towards the final act.

Most of Axiom's damage comes from melee attacks, slamming into targets and generating Rage. When he accumulates enough Rage, he enters a Berserk state and damages a nearby foe. The only way of generating Rage, though, are from Psych Up—which has one use per turn—or a small chance on taking damage. He is j♛ust too inconsistent to be relied on for endgame m🐬issions, making him the least viable choice.

10 Cherub

Granting an ally invulnerability to one hit is incredibly strong , Chimera Squad inc🐈luded. It's just that Cherub has nothing else to offer a squad until the last half of the game.

Cherub is meant to tank incoming fire with his trusty shield, aggroing enemies in Breach phases and meleeing enemies to death. Cherub isn't bad on his own, but Zephyr fills almost the same role but has mu🔥ch better mobility. He becomes better with his capstone ability, granting a strong buff to allies and debuff to foes, but again Zephyr has a strong enemy debuff to match Cherub's only saving grace.

9 Godmother

Those who need something dead in a single turn should look to none other than Godmother to get the job done. Like the Ranger in XCOM 2, Godmother excels with closeꦦ-quarters g💟unfights with her trusty shotgun.

Godmother can destroy enemy cover, flush targets out♕ of cover, and gain a massive damage increase for her capstone. Her issue is simply a lack of support or crowd-control, something that is required in later stages. If those bases are covered, Godmother can compl𝕴ement any team. Otherwise, she can be a hard character to play safely.

8 Verge

Controlling a Sectoid has been the dream of many XCOM fans, and that day has finally arrived. Verge is a psionic Sectoid that excels a൲t infiltrating the enemy's psyc🃏he.

A healthy mix between crowd control and damage make Verge a solid choice in the early and midgame portions of Chimera Squad. His ✱damage lacks for the game's hardest levels, but his ability to mass mind control targets makes him a solid c💞hoice if players can set up the synergy. If getting targets into the neural network wasn't so action-heavy, Verge would be much higher on this list. As he stands, Verge is an excellent choice for nearly any composition.

7 Patchwork

Depending on wh💃en (or if) players obtain Patchwork, she can be either a mediocrꦅe squad member or the best character in the entire game.

This mainly depends on the faction players are currently fighting. Against machines, Patchwork is easily the best character in the game. She can hack robots to fight for the player's side, deal double damage to them with her chain lightning attacks, and apply holo⛦ targeting to any enemy in an encounter. Even on normal missions, Patchwork can be a solid support character.

6 Zephyr

Zephyr is, for the most part, a better Cherub. Her fists knock targets unconscious and apply a wide array of debuffs to target༺s.

Unlike other characters, Zephyr has no ranged weapons. Controlling the battlefield is critical for her success, but it pays off in dividends. Zephyr can ignore the damage of the next attack with Parry, just like Cherub's Kinetic Shield, and she also has the incredibly strong Reaper skill as her last upgrade. While her damage drops off slightly towards the endgam🌳e, she is a must-have Agent for the first two acts of the game. If her attacks are set up just right, Zephyr is an integral force of destruction.

5 Shelter

Shelter has been written off by many as a subpar Agent. His abilities sound ☂lackluster on paper compared to other characters but do not underestimate Shel🍸ter's utility.

No other character in Chimera Squad can shift the initiative of a round as much as Shelter can. With the right upgrades, he can reposition anyone in an Encounter while reducing the turn order of two enemies in the same turn. He a⛎lso has a disorienting ranged attack for when repositioning targets isn't necessary📖. Give Shelter a chance before writing him off - he's got some surprises up his sleeves!

4 Claymore

Breach charges ಌaren't needed if Claymore is ♔in the squad. As the demolition expert of Chimera Squad, Claymore has a wide range of explosives at the ready.

Small rooms make up most of Chimera Squad's encounters, which makes explosives even stronger than they already were in XCOM 2. Since equipment requires no action to use, stacking Shrapnel Grenades with Plasma Grenades 🃏can result in ludicrous amounts of damage in a massive area. He struggles somewhat earlier on but quickly ramps up later on.

3 Torque

One of the most annoying enemies in XCOM 2 was the Viper, an alien that could pull soldiers from ꦯco🐈ver and strangle them to death.

Now, players can 𝔉do the same thing to their enemies with Torque. Her skills are invaluable for any squad composition, containing a healthy mix between damage output and map control. She can also slither throw vents to get the jump on targets during Breach♉es. Torque has no weaknesses, really, and is a strong option for any squad composition.

2 Blueblood

Gunslingers were 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:arguably overpowered in XCOM 2 since they could attack every enemy they could see with a pistol that never ✨had to reload.

Blueblood might have to reload his pistol in Chimera Squad, but he too is arguably overpowered with the right♒ gear. With upgraded pistols and AP Rounds, Blueblood can kill toug🅷h enemies single-handedly and, when at max rank, can take down an encounter's worth of targets in a single action!
