From Jin in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to Phog Christoph in Xenoblade Chronicles X – not exactly comparable, but you get the idea – the Xenoblade Chronicles games 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:have always ha𒉰d terrific side characte𓆉rs. Fortunately, the sam🌌e can be said for the first game in the serꦉies.
Throughout your adventure, you’ll meet an eclectic group of villains and heroes all of whom are likely to leave a lasting impression. Let’s just say that Vangarre’s 𝔍mustache and Xord’s biting insults are sure to put a pep in your step as you play.
Warning: This𝕴 list will contain spoilers for Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition.
7 Alvis
Alvis plays an incredibly important role in the main story. He’s all but confirmed to be Ontos – a part of the Trinity Processor introduced in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – due to his ability to essentially recreate the world once Shulk defeats Zanza. However, before his role in the finale, Alvis proves to be one of the key mysteries within the game’s narrative.
The mystery surrounding him as well as his ability to see through time – just like Shulk can, dun dun dunnnn – is wha꧟t makes him so compelling. It’s hard not to be instantly drawn to him as he displays his competency with the Monado among other facets of the Xenoblade universe. Unraveling just how important he is and seeing him transform from a side to a main character is truly fascinating.
6 Dickson
Oh, Dickson. Why did you have 𒅌to betray us? We loved your cockiness and bravado. You were like a father to us. Why, Dickson, why? Okay, we’re getting ahead of ourselves, but honestly, the twist that Dickson was a villain is truly incredible and frankly makes a whole lot of plot inconsistencies make sense. Good job, Monolith Soft, good job.
However, we do think that Dickson is a great character even before his reveal. He’s a paternal figure to the often brash Shulk, guiding him on his adventure in meaningful ways and offering sage advice. Of course, it hurts when you find out he never cared about you in the first place, but that only helps make him all the more interesting. Th🧔e fact that he was capable of such horrors is g🎃enuinely fantastic.
5 Emperor Sorea🔴n
Emperor Sorean is the father of Melia and a benevolent emperor to his people. His relationship with both his daughter and son feels genuine and believable, as does his d෴edication to his daughter’s future as the leader of the High Entia. Of course, like with most side characters in a Xenoblade game, things don’t go well for Sorean, and he sacrifices himself long before the credits roll.
However, his sacrifice isn’t in vain and has a rippling effect throughout the rest of the story. It is what spurs Melia and the others to continue the fight, and what influences Melia’s principles when it comes to ruling and guiding the High Entia later in the DLC. Frankly, Xenoblade Chronicles would simply not be the same without Sorean.
4 Vangarre
Vangarre is the JRPG equivalent of Waluigi. He’s got a comically villainous mustache – that we’re pretty sure he twirls on a daily basis – and is unnecessarily cruel to his subordinates. While we’re grateful that his demeanor has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:spawned a bunch of hilarious memes, that isn’t the sಞole reason why Vangarre is such ⛦a great side character.
It is, in fact, his bravery in the face of the Mechon invasion, that makes him so endearing and compelling. He miraculously survives a deadly attack – a tank is literally thrown at him, bu⛦t who are we to judge, it is a JRPG after all – and then goes on to lead the invasion of the Mechonis. Suffice to say, between the memes and his overall confidence in the face of adversity, Vangarre is a fairly spectacular character.
3 Juju
Juju is the loveable brother of Sharla whom everyone unanimously adores. Just joking! He’s actually quite annoying. Juju’s role in Xenoblade often involves him running away without any help and being used as bait to lure you into a deadly trap. However, while his childish antics may seem rather annoying, he’s a bubbly character full of personality. In fact, it is his childish tendencies that actuꦓally make him🍌 endearing
Juju perfectly reflects the negative aspect of Shulk’s inability to open up to others and acts as an example of why he shouldn’t hide his abilities and visions from hi🔥s friends. Juju is also just a warm and calming presence – whenever he’s not driving his car into 🐲the side of bridges – which makes having him around a real treat.
2 Kallian
Do you remember how we said that all good side characters tend to sacrifice themselves? You know, your Vandhams and Jins who nobly give up their lives, so you can continue the good fight? Well, Kallian receives such a fate and is, therefore, a great side character by default. Well, that, and he’s also just an excellently written character whose deep connection with his sister and belief in her makes him exceptionally endearing. But yeah, the whole sacrifice thing too.
Kallian’s final moments really do tug on the heartstrings, and it can be difficult to watch. While Kallian doesn’t have many moments across the game’s enormous runtime, his actions are remarkable and affect your journey 🅺in significant ways. It is his unwavering support for his sister though that makes him such a genuinely loveable side character. At no point does he doubt her, and he seems hellbent on protecting her at all costs. Frankly, it is quite a pleasant transition from the typical conniving brother who seeks to steal all power.
1 Xord
The Xenoblade Chronicles games have had 168澳洲幸运5开奖💖网:their fa♛ir share of exceptional villains. While they’re all memorable in their own right – Malos is downright terrifying – it is Xord that leaves one of the best impressions. Sure, Mumkhar’s Metal Face is pretty iꦫntimidating, but he doesn’t get to deliver one of the most upsetting insults you’ve ever heard. That’s right, we’re talking about the time Xord called Shulk a “Monado Boy”.
In all fairness, it probably isn’t an insult. He quite literally is a boy and has the Monado. It’s just the way Xord’s phenomenal English voice actor Jonathan Keeble – of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring fame no less – delivers the line. That aside, Xord acts as a great antagonist for the beginning of the game, and the way he menacingly threatens Juju’s life makes the hair on our snacks pop off and run away in fear. He’s fan👍tastically evil, and we love him for that.
