Xenoblade Chronicles was one of the best RPGs available on the Nintendo Wii. Its intricate combat mechanics let players approach battles in a variety of ways, while its narrative was as complex and long-winded as one would expect from a top-tier JRPG. The only downside? Its graphics were held back by the technical limitations of the Wii. Thankfully, the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition on the Switch looks to fix this one complaint.

Since the original released about ten years ago, it's obvious that the Switch version should look better. But we're surprised by just how much better it really is. GameXplain recently released a side-by-side comparison of the two, and it's breathtaking to see the Xenoblade world in all it's HD glory. Gone are t⭕he jagged edges on every model, textures have been significantly improved, and the HUD even seems to have been overhauled from the original Wii version.

While it certainly isn't as beautiful as some of the games on the Switch — such as Breath of the WildXenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is sure to 🔯be the best way to experience the popular title. The video is short, clocking in under six minutes, but is more than enough to get fans excited.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition releases on May 29 for the Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders ar🌠e currently .
