This release did, however, bring it onto the same platform as the iconic 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Breath of the Wild, and it's only natural to draw comparisons between the games. While they may appeal to slightly different audiences, it has to be said that the games have some stark similarities that cannot be ignored.

8 ❀ Picturesque Environments

It is something of a meme to draw comparisons between Breath of the Wild and any game that features wide-open fields of green grass, but it does highlight one big similarity. Both games are gorgeous.

Both Xenoblade and Breath of the Wild are full of wildly differing environments to traverse and explore, and they look amazing on the big screen. Whether you are hunting on the Bionis' Leg or riding a horse through Hyrule Field, the games are certainly easy on the eyes.

7 ไ Important Swords

A very obvious commonality between both games is the importance of certain swords. In Xenoblade Chronicles, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Monado is a centralღ plot poi𝕴nt in the story, with Shulk being notable for being able to wield it. It is crucial as it is the only w⛄eapon in existence that can damage the evil Mechonis enemies that make for tough foes throughout the storyline.

In Breath of the Wild, however, it is the iconic Master Sword that makes an appearance as an optional yet powerful pickup that the hero can acquire. While the Monado has more story importance, the Master Sword is still a central part of the game's lore.

6 ꦆ Di💖verse Peoples

As you explore the worlds of these games you will encounter and meet various members of different races. Xenoblade Chronicles has the humanlike Homs and the adorable Nopon among others, while Breath of the Wild has the huma⛄nlike Hylians and the amphibious Zora among other𝓀s.

The games are notable in that they both feature humanoid races with wings - the High Entia of Bionis and the Rito of Hyrule. 𝕴While these are very different interpretations, the actual similarities run deep - they are proud peoples with long histories. In addition, members of both races help you out significantly in both games - Melia in Xenoblade and both Teba and Revali in Breath of 💝the Wild.

5 Ex🐲p🔯loration Is Key

Both games heavily emphasize the importance of exploration. In Xenoblade Chronicles, you gain experience from finding landmarks and secret locaܫtions and doing so is sometimes crucial for side quests and gathering impoඣrtant materials.

In Breath of the Wild, there are countless locations to discover, and doing so is almost always beneficial. Whether Link finds a new shrine to take on, a new NPC to interact with, or even just a chest full of goodies, it's a game that incentivizes heading off the beaten track.

4 A Touch Of Royalty 🦋

When it comes to video games, royalty always take💟s the form of a help or a hindrance - never something in between. Both Xenoblade Chronicles and Breath of the Wild feature important princesses who are crucial t🦂o the story.

Princess Melia Antiqua is a High Entia met around the half🅠way point in Xenoblade Chronicles and quickly becomes a trusted paಞrty member, specializing in Ether Arts. Princess Zelda, on the other hand, plays a less active but more essential role in the story of Breath of the Wild - it is down to her and her alone to keep Calamity Ganon from spreading across Hyrule and bringing destruction to the land.

3 Dress-Up

Xenoblade Chronicles Breath of the Wild Inventory Armor Costumes

A fun feature in both games that can add some variety and customizability is how the armor systems work. Both games alter characters' appearances when they equip new pieces of armor, and this can lead to dressing Shulk and Link up in nice-looking armor instead of what might be statistically best.

While Breath of the Wild encourages this by letting you d🍰ye most armors at the tailor in H൲ateno Village, Xenoblade Chronicles added a glamor system in its Definitive Edition that lets you collect armor appearances and apply them to any pieces of equipment you want, so you don't have to sacrifice stats for style!

2 👍 ꦇ Gigantic Mecha

Xenoblade Chronicles Breath of the Wild Bionis Mechonis Naboris

Mecha, robots, mechanical structures - 🎀whatever you want to call them, these games have them! While they differ (massively) in size, it is rather noticeable that all of these robots are weaponized. Breath of the Wild has the four Divine Guardians populatinꦯg the corners of Hyrule, which take the form of almost-living dungeons that the hero travels through. They then become crucial weapons against Calamity Ganon for the climax of the game.

Xenoblade Chronicles, on the other hand, takes place on top of and within two gigantic robots - Bionis and Mechonis. These are historical weapons that fought many millennia in the past and are so massive that they eventually became home to the various peoples of the 🔯world, whether biological or mechanical.

1 The Pro💙tagonists

Xenoblade Chronicles Breath of the Wild Shulk Link Super Smash Brothers

It's fair to say that there are more than a few similarities between the protagonists of these two games. They are both blond young men who take on their respective adventures with little argument. They suffer heartbreaking (yet temporary) love-interest losses, are imbued with prophesized powers linked to a certain sword, and are constantly bugged by people who want them to complete short quests.

Perhaps most strikingly♈, they can actually fight each other in Super S🔯mash Bros. While Link has been a mainstay of the platforming fighter since its inception, Shulk was added to the franchise with the release of Super Smash Bros. 4 for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
