In typical Nintendo fashion, the new trailer for X's Definitive Edition was dropped on social media this morning without much fanfare. While the first thing you'll notice is that this is a better-looking version than the original game on Wii U, the biggest takeaways are the confirmations that this upgrade will go beyond improꦅved visuals alone.

Most notably the end of the trailer confirms, as most Xenoblade fans hoped for and expected, that the definitive edition will have an epilogue. It's only the final 20 seconds or so of the trailer that show off the epilogue, but since that's the only part of the game those familiar with the original will know nothing about, Ninte🦂ndo and Monolith won't want to spoil an ending to a story fans of the series have been waiting a decade for.

There's more than just an🐷 epilogue included in the Definitive Edition that wasn't in the Wii U version of the game, though. At around the 1:50 mark in the trailer, a character who didn't appear in the original version of the game is briefly shown, complete with their own Skell. The trailer has also provided a better look at the game's UI which has been vastly improved upon. It also appears to be closer to the original's Definitive Edition in terms of visuals, giving the series more synergy when it comes to its aesthetic.

Xenoblade Chronicles X's Definitive Edition will be a lot more than just that, though. A better-looking game, what appears to be a lot more story content, and a newly revealed pre-order bonus. If you pre-order a digital copy of the game, or a physical copy through GameStop, you'll get the Exploration Support Pack🐷 which includes ad🔯ditional armor and other in-game goodies.
