Not only did they create three additional characters to play as, but they also re-workedඣ the entire game around King Knight and Specter Knight's abilities.
While they have expressed some desire to move on from the Shovel Knight franchise, they've also been hard at work creating a have partnered with Nitrome to create the upcoming .

There hasn't been much information released about the game, but it seems to have a much faster pace than Shovel Knight, with an emphasis on speed and action rather than the clever platforming that was pu🦩t center stage in its predecessor.
Yacht Club Games has promised to give more information about both upcoming Shovel Knight games and Cyber Shadow.
