168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Like A Dragon: Ishin brings your favorite characters from the Yakuza 🔯(or Like A Dragon) series, and drops those familiar face🎉s into a feudal Japan setting. This starkly different environment brings a new dimension of high stakes and long-lost traditions to the forefront of the story, as the history of Edo and Kyo – now called Tokyo and Kyoto – unfolds.

However, through this unusual backdrop persists a cast of characters with the same quirky personalities that we've come to love throughout the Yakuza series. From longtime protagonists like Kiryu Kazuma to some fresher faces like Koichi Adachi from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yakuza: Like A Dragon, there are plenty of returnees 🍌to pic🧸k out of the pack.

10 Koichi Adachi AKA Kondo Isami 🥃

Koichi Adachi smiling on the left and Kondo Isami looking stoic to the right.

Koichi Adachi is a hard-nosed disgraced detective just looking to make things right in the world. His 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:aptitude for sharing deep wisdom and happy-go-lucky attitude is endearing; however, Kondo Isami is quite a different man altogether. It comes as little surprise that Adachi is a ne❀w addition, as Isami previously used a unique model.

As the Commander of the Shins🍒engumi, Kondo Isami 🐻takes a no-nonsense approach as a fierce leader. Much like Adachi, Kondo was a fiercely loyal and cunning man early in his career but eventually became a bit detached and unaware of the realities that everyday soldiers faced under his command.

9 🐠 Mirei Park AKA Otose (Terada Ayano)

Mirei Park smiles on the left with Otose smirking slightly on the right.

Yakuza 5's Mirei Park was best known as the head of the Dyna Chair talent agency. She pushed Haruka to be the best idol and was a mysterious character for much of the story. Her determination became clear after her status as Majima's ex-wife was revealed.

Otose mirrors Mirei's concern for young girls as she takes care of Naraski Oryo, who was orphaned after the death of her parents. Otose was previously a geisha, sharing a similarly glamorous past with her model, Mirei Park. She currently owns the Terada Inn and gives Ryoma Sakamoto a place to live on his journey.

8 ಌ The๊ Florist Of Sai AKA The Bathkeeper Of Sai

The Florist of Sai frowning while wearing a lavish chain on the left. The Bathkeeper of Sai frowning curiously on the right.

The Florist of Sai is the infamous information broker who appears throughout t♒he Yakuza series to assist Ki♕ryu and Majima. He even plays a role in Like A Dragon, where he reveals several key facts to Ichiban, turning things upside down in the process.

The Bathkeeper of Sai gets a friendly wink-and-nudge when he meets Ryoma Sakamoto, who makes fun of the 'Bathkeeper' name. Jokes aside, both the Florist and the Bathkeeper are remarkably similar in form and function, as they are both convenient sources of information when the main character runs out of leads. Given their shared profession, it's implied that the two characters are not only counterparts but probably also blood relatives.

7 🎃 Shun Akiyama AKA Niibori Matsusuke ൩

Akiyama smirking slyly on the left with Niibori Matsusuke holding his hand out on the right.

Aliases are all the rage in Like A Dragon: Ishin, so you'll get to know this character by a few names. Yakuza 4, 5, and 6's Shun Akiyama is first introduced in Ishin as Niibori Matsusuke, so to avoid spoilers, let's leave it at that. Niibori having multiple names in feudal Japan is reminiscent of Akiyama, who is known by many, but rarely named.

Akiyama is a mysterious lone wolf whose persona is perfect for Niibori Matsusuke's roguish demeanor. He first makes himself known after eavesdropping on a conversation; which is perfect considering Akiyama also keeps his ears to the ground.

6 ও Akꦬira Nishikiyama AKA Okada Izo

Akira Nishikiyama looking angry on the left, as Okada Izo frowns severely on the right.

Akira Nishikiyama i𓂃s first introduced as a supporting character to the series lead, Kiryu K♈azuma. But in Yakuza Kiwami, he ascended to main antagonist status, rivaling Kiryu every step of the way.

The same fate belongs to Okada Izo, who you will meet very early on as a comrade of Ryoma Sakamoto in the Loyalist Party, before it is eventually revealed that he has his own plans. His vicious, violent attitude is similar to the pe﷽rsona Nishikiyama adopts on his rise up the Yakuza ranks.

Much like Nishikiyama, Okada Izo was born into nothing, and he wants nothing more than to dis𝔍mantle the society that placed him at the bottom of the totem pole.

5 Ryuji Goda AKA Saigo Kichinosuke ﷽

Ryuji Goda eying some curiously on the left while Saigo Kichinosuke frowns uncertainly to the right.

Ryuji Goda is the infamous antagonist of Yakuza Kiwami 2, after making a brief cameo in Yakuza 0 as a delinquent. He grows into the main adversary and leader of the Omi Alliance as he wars with Kiryu and the Tojo Clan. He shares an intense rivalry with Kiryu as they both share dragon tattoos, and of course, Japan isn't big enough for two dragons.

Ryuji's counterpart, Saigo Kichinosuke, shares the same military might as his model, and serves as the Commander of the Satsuma Domain's army. Saigo does not share the exact same appearance as Ryuji, though, as he does not bear any of his tattoos. This becomes clear during his naked fight in Ishin's first few chapters – it's really something to behold.

4 ⛎ Taiga Saejima AKA Nagakura Shinpachi ൩

Taiga Saejima smiles slightly on the left and Nagakura Shinpachi squints curiously on the right.

Taiga Saejima is a mountain of a man and an equally large figure in the Yakuza world, most notably serving as the Tojo Clan's Saejima Family Patriarch. He is the perpetrator of the legendary Ueno Seiwa hit, and spent most of his life in prison until his release in Yakuza 4. He is one of the main protagonists in both Yakuza 4 and 5, and makes a major appearance in Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

Similar to Saejima, Nagakura Shinpachi is a respected member of the Shinsengumi and serves as the Captain of their Second Unit. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:His strength and combat aptit💯ꦇude are unparalleled among his fellow members, and he serves as the baseline test t🃏hat all new Shinsengumi recruits must p𒀰ass in order to be accepted.

While he is always wearing his haori, Nagakura emulates Saejima's gruff style with a sleeveless version of this traditional garb.

3 Komaki AKA Komaki Munemitsu ♔

Komaki squinting and frowning on the left while his ancestor, Komaki Munemitsu fights Ryoma Sakamoto on the right.

Much like the Florist of Sai, there's absolutely no attempt to veil the true identity of this martial arts master. Komaki serves as Kiryu's tutor throughout the series, just as the Florist serves as the reliable information dealer. Komaki's strict standards and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:plethora of tips for beginners are front and center from the moment you meet him in Ishi𝓡n as well.

After you find him telling off a sloppy student, you can speak with and learn more from Komaki. In Ishin, it's revealed that his full name is Komaki Munemitsu, and he also is the implied ancestor of the Komaki that Kiryu meets across his journeys. If you're looking 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:to learn some new🍨 moves in the Komaki Dojo, then you know that this man has your back.

2 ꦦ Goro Majima🐟 AKA Okita Soji

Goro Majima looking cautiously across the room on the left while Okita Soji leans his head against the wall on the right.

Goro Majima might just be the most beloved Yakuza character in the series. As a protagonist, Majima is cunning and consistent, as he appears in every major Yakuza title to date. Majima works his way up from a lowly foot soldier to the vice-chairman position of the Tojo Clan, before he eventually sticks to being the patriarch of ꦓthe Majima Family. The Mad Dog of Shimano has a wacky personality, even in feudal Japan.

Much like Majima, Okita Soji is regarded as one of the top fighters around, and stands as Captain of the Shinsengumi's First Unit. In complete transparency, he may as well just be called Goro, because Okita displays the exact same personality as Majima, right down to the unbridled bloodlust.

1 Kiryu Kazuma AKA R🔴yoma Sakamoto

Kiryu Kazuma frowns angrily as he prepares to fight while Ryoma Sakamoto frowns at someone on the right.

Kiryu Kazuma, The Dragon of Dojima, is a paradigm of justice and social unawareness that shines throughout each entry of the Yakuza series. Kiryu is innocent but serious; twisted, but compassionate – simply put, he's a complex and lovable protagonist, much like Ishin's Ryoma Sakamoto.

Ryoma, like Kiryu, loses his father figure pretty early on in the story, resolving to dedicate his life to tracking down the killer, and thus clearing his own name as well. Ryoma has an unwavering resolve and a good heart filled with virtue. He lives up to Kiryu's legacy as he paints his own story in tandem with the sense of responsibility that we have come to expect from our beloved Kiryu.
