Publisher DotEmu has announced that the cult-classic RPG Ys: Origin will be heading to Switch in later 2020. A prequel to the underground hit 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ys series (set some 700 years before the original game), it retains a lot of the action and pacing that made Ys: The Oath in Felghana such an amazing game. It features three playable characters, multiple endings, and a bevy of challenging boss f💎ights.

If you aren't a fan of digital 🌳releases, Limited Run Games will be producing a snazzy looking collector's editions to place on your shelf. One is more like a regular physical edition while the other comes with a poster, a physical soundtrack disc, an art book, and special packaging. Limited Run isn't yet ready to announce a release date, but you can keep tabs on the to get more info. .

Ys: Origin isn't as fondly looked at like Oath in Felghana, but it certainly deserves a place in your collection. For years now, the Ys series has bo🐎iled down the JRPG formula t🌊o its basest elements and created titles that are short, sweet, and to the point. There's barely any filler and you're almost always engaged in some kind of action. It's really a blast.

This belated port to Switch comes afte𝓰r a PS4 and Vita release in 2017 that was followed up by an Xbox One port in 2018. The original hit PC in Japan in 2006 before making its way west in 2012. It's a bit of a confusing release history, but at least gamers of any kind can experience the title.

If Origin does well, there's a chance more of the Ys back catalog will make its way to Nintendo's console. Gamers can already grab Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ys IX: Monstrum Nox has been confirmed for a 2021 release on the platform. It would be a shame for publisher DotEmu to stop at Origin when some of the others are arguably better.

Still, you'd be crazy to pass this up if you're a fan of JRPGs with no filler💙. Keep an eye out for more information later in the year.
