Publisher DotEmu has announced that the Switch port of Ys Origin will be heading to Nintendo's console on October 1, 2020. Bringing all of its action-packed campaigns to the portable console, Origin is a real treat for fans of RPG titles that don't beat around the bush. The series, in general, is very lean and cuts out the fl🌟uff that you'd normally expect in long-winded games.
As 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:reported a few months back, the game will be available both physically and digitally. Fans that opt for the physical version can head over to to pre-order a copy of the standard edition. A more robust collector's bundle has since sold out but featured a ton of Ys related goodies that looked de𝔍licious. I probably should have jumped on that.
If you're worried about the continuity or anything related to the story, Ys Origin is a prequel set some 700 years before the events of the first Ys game. It doesn't even directly involve the main protagonist of the series, so you won't learn starling revelations that may take away from big plot twists. This is more an introduction to the systems and some lore for background details in Ys I and II.
Sadly, most of the other Ys games haven't made their way to Switch (or other platforms). If Origin manages to do well, there's a chance DotEmu will continue to port the series across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. That would be excellent, especially since Ys is so great.
