Normal Monsters have appeared in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise since before the actual card game even existed, and are one of the most important aspects of the franchise's history. Although their value has decreased somewhat since the introduction of several newer types of monster cards, some older Normal Monsters continue to receive support through retrained effect monster counterparts, new Monsters, Spell Cards, Trap Cards, and any other kinds of cards in the game.

Howe෴ver, a handful of Normaဣl Monsters have never received updated versions with effects, no matter how old they are or how well they fit within an archetype.

10 𒁃 Rabid Dragon

rabidragon art & anime appearance

Rabid Dragon was first released in the Photon Shockwave booster set and was later included in the Saga Of Blue-Eyes structure deck. As a Light attribute 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon-type Normal Monster with high attack points, it has many si𒁃milarities to the Blue-eyes White Dragon itself, so it makes sense that it would be included in a Blue-Eyes themed structure deck.

That deck was released about a decade ago, and Blue-Eyes has received even more support since then, while Rabidragon has stayed the samꦫe and has not yet received an Effect Monster counterpart or any kind of upgraded version at all.

9 Gagagigo

gagagigo art & anime appearance

Gagagigo is an interesting monster in that it has a near complete storyline told through card art and monster descriptions. Other than Jigabyte, however, no monsters belonging to the Gagagigo line have effects. There are also a handful of monsters with connections to the line, such as Eria The Water Charmer and Familiar Possessed Eria, but they belong to a different archetype altogether, desp🌟ite their relationship.

An Effect Monster 𝕴counterpart for any Gagagigo-related normal monster could either support the archetype similar to Jigabyte with an archetype specific effect, or it could support Water attribute or Reptile-type monsters, or possibly both.

8 𒁏 Mokey Mokey ꦐ

mokey mokey art & anime appearance

Mokey M🍷okey is a Fairy-type monster known for its weakness and support cards, the Fusion Monster Mokey Mokey King and the Spell Card Mokey Mokey Smackdown. But there have been no new cards added to the archetype since after the first three we𓂃re released, meaning there are no Effect Monster counterparts of Mokey Mokey.

Maybe Mokey Mokey's Effect Monster counterpart would be Enraged Mokey Mokey, similar to Enraged Battle Ox and as a reference to Mokey Mokey's description as well as Mokey Mokey Smackdown. It could also be Special Summoned when a Mokey Mokey is destroyed and have 3000 attack points.

7 Judge Man

judge man art & anime appearance

Judge Man has been around since the b🅘eginning of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, appearing in the first Kaiba starter deck to be released. Judge Man does have a female Effect Monster counterpart 🌠known as Mrs. Judge, but Mrs. Judge is a Fiend-type monster unrelated to Judge Man - other than her name and physical appearance.

Judge Man himself is a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Warrior-type monster, so a more direct Effect Monster counterpart could support other Warrior-type monsters. On the other hand, a retrained Effect Monster counterpart could be a 🌃Fiend-type monster more similar to Mrs. Judge instead, with a dif🧸ferent coin-flip-related effect.

6 ꦡ Labyrinth Wall

labyrinth wall ocg & tcg art

Labyrinth Wall was first introduced in the Magic Ruler or Spell Ruler booster set. Alongside Millennium Shield, it's tied for the title of the highest defense level five Normal Monster in the game. Despite this, it hasn't received any support even though it could fit in well with the high defense Earth attribute Rock-type monsters of the Sphinx archetype that focus on flip effects.

Alternatively, it could have a monster zone-related effect somewhat similar to the monsters of the Mekk-Knight archetype, switching the positions of the opponent's monsters around to reflect as if they were getting lost in the labyrinth themselves.

5 ꦫ Beaver Warrior 🧔

beaver warrior art & anime appearance

Beaver Warrior, apparently named Louise according to the official English translation of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist manga, is one of the oldest Beast-Warrior Normal Monsters in the entire game,ཧ as it appeared in the very first booster pack set. Yet, even after over two decades, it has still not received any kind of effect counterpart.

In modern Yu-Gi-Oh!, Beaver Warrior is somewhat of a useless card, providing little value, so it's about time for an update. An Effect Monster counterpart of Beaver Warrior could support Beast-Warrior type monsters or maybe even Beast-Warrior Normal monsters, which have not been relevant in a long time.

4 Shining Friendship ꦰ

shining friendship art & anime appearance

Shining Friendship is a Fairy-type monster Tea Gardner used in her duel ag🥀ainst Mai Valentine in the Duel Monsters anime to help a depressed Yugi regain his confidence after the spirit of the Pharaoh nearly killed Kaiba.

RELATED: 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Best Kuriboh Cards In Y𒆙u-Gi-Oh, Ranked

In the anime, Shining Friendship also has a more humanoid form when equipped with Silver Bow & Arrow, which never became an actual card itself. An Effect Monster counterpart of Shining Friendship would likely have an effect related to the cards Unity, Yu-Jo Friendship, Judgment of Pharaoh, and The True name since they're all related to the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime series.

3 ꦫ 💫 Wretched Ghost Of The Attic

wretched ghost art & game appearance

This monster looks like Kuriboh and came out around the same time. Yet, despite 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:all the new Kuriboh monsters and support that have been released over the year, the Wretched Ghost has not recei♓ved a more archetype-focused effect monste🐠r counterpart.

Since it's still a Fiend-type monster but a ghost by name, an Effect Monster counterpart of Wretched Ghost could be special summoned when any Kuriboh monster on the field is destroyed and then allow the player to shuffle the destroyed monster back into their deck. It could also prevent a Kuriboh monster from being destroyed by getting banished from the Graveyard.

2 Jꦬerry Beans Man

jerry beans man art & video game appearance

In terms of raw attack power, Jerry Beans Man is the strongest level three Normal Monster in the game but hasn't ever received any support despite being released over 15 years ago. According to the card's own description, Jerry Beans Man's "true abilities are still untested," so the time to finally see his true potential is long overdue.

Since Jerry Beans Man is a Plant-type monster, maybe an Effect Monster counterpart could support other Plant-type monsters. Or maybe Jerry could combine with the Sword of the Soul-Eater equip 🌼card to become a darker and stronger version of his former self.

1 𒊎 Potato & Chips ꦫ

potato & chips card & yugioh chips

This Monster Card was only ever released in Japan in a special booster pack that came with bags of Calbee brand potato chips for a special Yu-Gi-Oh! 20th Anniversary crossover promotion alongside the Spell Card Soul Unseal and the🌟 trap card Farm Delivery. This is all the more reason why it should get an Effect Monster counterpart released worldwide.

Maybe they could be changed into support for Hungry Burger or other food-based cards, or alternatively, since the exclusive spell and trap cards they're related to involve Normal Monsters, their effect would probably involve Normal Monsters in some way as well.
