While some are getting 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yu-Gi-Oh!: Legendary Collection 25th Anniversary for a chance to get some much-needed reprints, most are getting it for nostalgia and collectability. Some people like to collect every banned card in the game, and if you're in that camp, there's no better set than Spell Ruler.

The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:most powerful 🍎spells i꧑n all of Yu-Gi-Oh! were printed in this set. Of course, these cards are banned today, but that doesn't mean they're illegal in certain formats like Goat or Edison. For cards that are legal in those formats, the price is much higher. Plus, many nostalgic and iconic cards are in this set too, and they're worth some money.

All values 🍌are based🔥 on at the time of writing. If the market price is unavailable, the listing price is used.

10 ꦫ Messenger of Peace (SR) - $5.24 🐼

Messenger of Peace from Yu-Gi-Oh: Spell Ruler

Messenger of Peace is very much a spell card of its era. When active, monsters with 1500 ATK or more can't declare an attack. What's funny is that the user needs to pay 100 LP for each of their standby phases, which is essentially nothing. These low life point costs are a common trait in many of the spell cards in this set.

Messenger is the most valuable super rare in Spell Ruler because it's often used in stun decks. With Mystic Mine banned, some have been using Messenger as a substitute. This is likely why Messenger of Peace is at the $5 mark.

9 The Forceful Sentry (UR) - $7.66 💧

The Forceful Sentry from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:first banned card of many, The Forceful Sentry allows you to look at your opponent's hand and choose one card to put back into the deck. It's debatably superior to something like Delinquent Duo because the card goes back into the deck, which is far better than sending it to the graveyard. Sentry is not only banned currently but also banned in Goat and Edison.

Despite this fact, the card's still worth over $7.50. There are likely two reasons for this. One is that Sentry was only printed in Spell Ruler and Dark Beginning 1, both before the GX era. This makes the card quite rare. The second is that it looks really cool. The ultra-rare foiling makes the card pop out nicely.

8 🧔 Serpent Night Dragon (ScR) - $8.37

Serpent Night Dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

The first of two secrets🐓 is Serpent Night Dragon. Secret rares in Legendary Collection 25th Anniversary look especially amazing, looking similar to the ones in Speed Duel. Serpent Night Dragon is no exception to this.

Unfortunately, the card lacks that nostalgic and iconic quality, plus it wasn't even a big beatstick back in the day. It still looks great, though, and that's likely why it's up to $8, but the card's vastly outmatched by the other secret rare in the set.

7 𝓀 Toon Mermaid (UR) - $8.50

Toon Mermaid from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

Spell Rul༺er obviously features a truckload of spells but also quite a lot of Pegasus cards. This includes Toons, and almost all of them have value to th꧃em. Toon Mermaid is a Toon version of Red Archery Girl and is a nice looking ultra rare.

This card's not particularly useful, but the main reason it's expensive is the nostalgic factor that comes from nearly every Pegasus card. Pegasus is still one of the most recognizable Yu-Gi-Oh! characters of all time, and due to this, most of his cards are worth something.

6 ෴ Relinquished (UR) - $13.03

Relinquished from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

Pegasus's boss monster from the anime, Relinquished is a legitimately good card, especially for the time. It's an ultra rare in the set, although it oddly has silver lettering instead of the usual gold. Relinquished allows you to take an opponent's monster and have its ATK/DEF become the stats of Relinquished.

When the card would normally be destroyed, the equipped monster is destroyed instead, and the opponent takes the battle damage. It's nostalgic, iconic, and very good in the old-school era, making it hit the $10 mark. It is worth noting that Thousand-Eyes Restrict, which can be pulled from Pharaoh's Servant, is the more valuable of the two, worth about $5 more.

5 ဣ Toon Summoned Skull (UR) - $18.12

Toon Summoned Skull from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

The second Toon card is Toon Summoned Skull, and it's much more valuable than the Mermaid. First, the art is awesome and iconic. The way it lurches upward perfectly matches the Toon style. The ultra-rare foiling is also really nice looking, and the background pops out well.

This card is also a Toon version of Summoned Skull, one of the more iconic old-school Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. The way it looks, plus the nostalgic and iconic factor of being a Pegasus Toon card of an already iconic monster, is the reason it's so high in price.

4 ✤ Mystical Space Typhoon (UR) - $19.95

Mystical Space Typhoon from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

While Spell Ruler has plenty of broken cards, it also has some staples, and one of them's Mystical Space Typhoon. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:A staple in the game until relatively recently, it's one of the most iconic spells in all of Yu-Gi-Oh! With it, you simply target one spell or trap on the field and blow it up.

It's also a Quick-Play spell, which makes it far better. Owning an MST from its original set is definitely a desirable thing for many collectors, as it's likely one of the first spells you think of in Yu-Gi-Oh! It's akin to the trap card Mirror Force in the Metal Raiders set in terms of the collectability aspect.

3 Snatch Steal (𝓀UR) - $21🍌.91

Snatch Steal from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

Two major banned cards in this set are worth at least $20, and the first one's Snatch Steal. A card that definitely can't be brought back today, it allows you to equip an opponent's monster and steal it. It infamously returned to legal status in 2015 for a brief time, and people were robbing victories with this card.

Snatch Steal has had quite a few reprints, more so than many of the other banned cards in Legendary Collection 25th Anniversary. However, this card is valuable because it's legal in Goat format. It's restricted to one but is playable, and that's likely why the price is so high.

2 Delinquent Duo (UR) - $27.45 ♚ 🎀

Delinquent Duo from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

Similar to The Forceful Sentry, Delinquent Duo allows you to look at your opponent's hand. This time, though, you must pay 1000 LP, and it gets rid of two cards. The opponent must randomly discard one of them and can choose the other. It's better in card advantage than Sentry, but at the same time, sending those cards to the graveyard could be good for the opponent.

Like Snatch Steal, it's limited to one in Goat format, but Duo is much scarcer in terms of reprints. In modern times, it was only reprinted once in 2018 in Legendary Collection Kaiba. Before that, its last print was in 2004. Due to this factor, Delinquent Duo is more expensive than Snatch Steal.

1 Blue-Eye🐼s Toon Dragon (ScR) - $43.66

Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh Spell Ruler

Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon is not only the most valuable card in Spell Ruler but one of the most valuable cards in all of Legendary Collection 25th Anniversary. Worth over $40, it's likely the most iconic Pegasus card, even more so than something like Relinquished, and definitely the most iconic Toon.

It looks gorgeous with the revisions to the secret rares here and pops out like no other. This is one of those cards that are expensive due to its nostalgic and iconic quality rather than competitive use. Whether you're opening a 25th Anniversary display box or case, if you're pulling one secret out of Spell Ruler, you want this one.
