One of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yu-Gi-Oh!'s biggest releases of the year is out today, with the 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles reprinting some of last year's most competitive cards.
Each year's tins are compilation sets of the previous year's releases, meaning the 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles combines cards from 2020's Ignition Assault, Eternity Code, Rise of the Duelist and Phantom Rage booster sets. There are also some exclusive debuts, like Crossout Designator, Magician's Salvation, Piercing the Darkness and True Light, which are being printed into the TCG from the Japanese OCG for the first time.
Each tin comes with three packs, each containing 18 cards (double the size of a usual booster pack). Every pack is also guaranteed to have at least one rare, two super rares, two ultra rares and one prismatic secret rare (which has a different foil pattern to normal cards, and are exceptionally rare in TCG releases). For long-term collectors of Yu-Gi-Oh!, the tin itself also stacks with the 2019 and 2020 tins to depict the ongoing battle between the series' two most famous monsters, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician. Expect to see a lot more of Dark Magician going forward, as one of 2022's first booster sets, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Chaos of Battle, will be giving him lots of new support cards.
As the aim of the set is to include cards that have dominated the meta over the last year, the Tin of Ancient Battles has a lot of powerhouse cards. Notably it includes key cards from the Drytron, Zoodiac Tri-Brigade and Virtual World decks that are still near the top of the current metagame. Even with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:incoming limitations meant to slightly nerf the Drytron and Zoodiac Tri-Brigade decks, th🔯e changes being made are so small that the cards you pull in a tina re still likely to be competi🦹tive for a good while yet.
While the Tin is ostensibly launching today for $19.99/£19.99, players in North America may struggle to get their hands on it due to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:supply chain issues that have plagued the region all year. Konami has said that stock will be available form launch day, but stores will be receiving their shipments in waves, making it incredibly limited. This problem isn't impacting any other region, though, meaning everyone else should be able to get their hands on the Tin without issue.
