"Invasion Of Chaos" introduced CHAOS Monsters, which are Monsters that can be special summoned by banishing 1 Light and 1 Dark Monster from the Graveyard. This was incredibly powerful when they were first released in the early 2000s, and continue to be incredibly powerful to this day. CHAOS Monsters still see widespread success today, with plenty having 𓆉entered into the card pool over time.

10 🌺ꦐ Lightpulsar Dragon

Lightpulsar Dragon art and effect

"Lightpulsar Dragon" is one of the most interesting CHAOS Monsters, as it can use its own effects to special summon itself from not just the Hand, but the Graveyard as well. By sending 1 Light and💙 1 Dark Monster from the Hand to the Graveyard, it can revive itself from there. It also can be summoned through traditional CHAOS means. "Lightpulsar Dragon" is fantastic for recycling Monsters to extend combos, as when its sent from the Field to the Graveyard it can special summon a Level 5 or higher Dark Dragon Type Monster.

9 ꦯ Chaos Daedalus

Chaos Daedalus art and effect

"Chaos Daedalus" is the only CHAOS Monster that has interactions with Field Spells. If one ꦗis one the Field, then "Chaos Daedalus" ♊prevents the opponent from being able to target both Light and Dark Monsters with card effects.

Once "Chaos Daedalus" is summoned, it includes a powerful effect w🐎꧒here it can Banish Monsters up to the number of Face-Up Field Spells on the Field. So, that is 1-2 Banishes that can target Spell, Trap, and Monster cards. This is an incredibly powerful effect, and being able to target any card on the opponent's Field is one of the best removal effects out there.

8 🥂 Thunder Dragonduo 🍌

Thunder dragonduo art and effect

"Thunder Dragonduo" is a CHAOS Monster that belongs to the "Thunder Dragon" Archetype. This is especially beneficial as all "Thunder Dragon" Monsters have effects when Banished, which is what makes "Thunder Dragonduo" so good. It easily triggers the Banish effects of "Thunder Dragon" Monsters, since they are all either Light or Dark Monsters. It can continue to do so on the Field, as when it destroys a Monster by battle it can Banish a card from the Graveyard to add any Thunder Monster from the Deck to the H𒉰and. "Thunder Dragonduo" can recycle cards as well, as du🍨ring the opponent's End Phase it can place a Banished card on the top or bottom of the Deck.

7 🍬 Darkflare Dragoܫn

"Darkflare Dragon" is a rather simple CHAOS Monster with a simple on Field effect. Once per turn, it can send 1 Dragon Monster from the Hand and 1 from the Deck to the Graveyard to Banish a card in either player's Graveyard. This is useful in two ways. One is that it can disrupt the opponent's strategy if there's a card in their Graveyard that they want to be there, and throw a huge wrench in their strategy. The other is setting up your own Graveyard. The ability to dump any Dragon Monster into the Graveyard is incredibly powerful, espꦏecially when there are so many Dragon support cards that can take advantage o🤪f this.

6 Chaos Sorcerer 🌸 𝄹

Apart of the original lineup of CHAOS Monsters, "Chaos Sorcerer" was one of the best cards in the game when it was first released. Once per turn, at the cost of being unable to a𒉰ttack with it, "Chaos Soꦰrcerer" can Banish 1 face-up Monster on the Field.

The ability to Banish is incredibly powerful, as it is the best kind of removal in the game since most Decks can't recover from a key card being Banished. In addition, "Chaos Sorcerer" ha🌱s a respectable amount of Attack Points, making it a great Monster to use offensively.

5 ✤ The Chaos Creator

"The Chaos Creator" was apart of the recent wave of generic CHAOS Monster support. "The Chaos Creator" is an incredibly powerful card that can easily build advantage by making use of Monsters that are Banished. When it's on the Field and was special summoned from the Hand, "The Chaos Creator" can target 3 Banished Monsters and Special Summon one of them while putting the restꦍ on the bottom of the Deck. Not only can this ta🌠ke advantage of the cards that were used to Summon it, but it can also recycle them back into the Deck for later use.

4 Chaos Emperor, The Dr🌠agon Of Armageddon

"Chaos Emperor, The Dragon Of Armageddon" is the only Pendulum CHAOS Monster in the entire ga💧me. Its Pendulum effect is seldom used, as all it does is retrieve a Banished Dragon Monster by destroying itself. Its Monster effect is what makes it good. It allows the player to send as many Monsters they control as possible to the Graveyard (except from the Extra Monster Zone) to send that many Monsters on the opponent's Field to the Graveyard as well. This is fantastic because cards that send without targetting are one of the best forms of removal, as it can get aroꦦund protection as well as forcing the opponent to chain effects before the Monsters are chosen.

3 ﷽ ♊ Black Luster Soldier - Envoy Of The Beginning

One of the original Boss Monsters, "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy Of The Beginning" is still one of the best CHAOS𓆉 Monsters despite being one of the first. It has two different effects the player can choose from to aꦇctivate each turn. "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy Of The Beginning" can target a Monster on the Field and Banish it but it cannot attack that turn.

It can also make a second attack in a row if it desꦚtroys an opponent's Monster by battle. Its a very versatile card that can be used to swing for big damage, or take care of a problem Monster by Banishing it to permanently get rid of it.

2 ꦛ Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy Of The End

Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End art and effect

"Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy Of The End" created the first-ever Tier 0 Deck in the game's history, and because of it the Yu-Gi-Oh! Banlist was created. At the cost of 1000 Life Points, it sent all the cards in both players' Hands and Field to the Grav🌜eyard to inflict 300 Life Points for each card sent to the Graveyard. However, an errata would take the card down a notch, as it was changed to make it so this w🤪as the only effect the player could use that turn. None the less, the ability to leave the opponent with just 1 card can be enough to win the game, especially if the Deck is built around this, with cards with Graveyard effects.

1 Chaos Dragon Levianeer 𓂃

Chaos Dragon Levianner art and effect

Unlike most traditional CHAOS Monsters, "Chaos Dragon Levianeer" requires 3 Monsters to be used to summon it, and it can be any combination of Light and Dark Monsters. It has three different effects, depending on if all Light, all Dark, or a mixture of the two Types are used to summon it🧔. If using both, it can destroy up to 2 cards on the Field. By using all Light Type Monsters, it will Special Summon any Monster from the player's Graveyard in Defense Position. And by using all Dark Type Monsters, it caꦜn shuffle a random card from the opponent's Hand into the Deck. All of these effects are incredibly powerful and allows "Chaos Dragon Levianeer" to be very easily splashable in many Decks.
