Although 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yu-Gi-Oh! has now been around for about a quarter of a century, many classic monsters that first appeare𒁃d in the original manga and anime series, have yet to receive upgraded versions, meaning they rarely see any play in modern Yu-Gi-Oh!, with some having not been seen in years outside of tutorials and anime-based games.
Despite the fact many notable monsters from the classic era of Yu-Gi-Oh! have received upgraded versions more appropriate for modern play, many are still waiting for their chance to return to the spotlight, even those that have some kind of significanc🌊e to the original series.
10 Copycat
A tricky Spellcaster-type Effect Monster first used by Joey Wheeler during the Duelist Kingdom arc of the original Duel Monsters series, Copycat copies the Attack and Defense Points of one Face-up monst๊er on the field and has no additional effects.
An upgraded version of Copycat would include the monster's original effect, but could also either destroy the monster it copied the Attack and Defense Points of, or equip the monster. The equipped monster could then be used as a shield to prevent Copycat from being destroyed by an attack or card effect, although this could only happen once per turn.
9 Mad Sword ꦿBeast
The first monster to have a piercing effect, where an attacking monster can cause damage when attacking the opponent's monsters, Mad Sword Beast is a Dinosaur-type Effect Monster that made its first appearance in the Dungeon Dice Monsters arc of the original Duel Monsters series, where Duke Devlin used it in a brief duel against Joey Wheeler.
Due to its resemblance to𒐪 the Normal Monster Sabersaurus, an upgraded version could increase its Attack Points to 1900 to match while keeping its 1200 Defense points. It could also switch monsters it attacks to Defense Position once an attack has been declared, allowing it to activate its piercing effect afterward.
8 ꦆ𓂃 Cyber Commander
Cyber Commander is a Machine-type Normal Monster known for first appearing in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters manga and anime series due to it being Tristan Taylor's favorite card. The card has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:never been printed in the TCG, making it stand out among all the other favorite cards of the main series since they all have TCG ve🎃rsions.
An upgraded Effect Monster version of Cyber Commander could increase its weak 750 Attack and 700 Defense Points to 1750 and 1700, respectively, and could have an effect that increases the Attack Points of Warrior and Machine-type monsters, referencing Tristan Taylor's skill in Duel Links.
7 Little-Winguard ⭕ 𓂃
One of Joey's commonly used monsters during the Battle City arc of the original Duel Monsters series, Little-Winguard, also known as Tiny Guardian in some media, is a Warrior-type Effect Monster that can change its battle position during the controller's End Phase once per turn.
An upgraded version of Little-Winguard could build on top of its initial effect, draining the opponent's Life Points or destroying one of their cards on the field every time its battle position is switched. Alternatively, it could reduce one monster's Attack Points to zero every time its battle position changes, somewhat similar to the Alchemy Cycle Trap card it appears on.
6 Gazelle The King Of Mythical Beasts 🅷
Gazelle The King Of Mythical Beasts is a monster Yugi often used during the Battle City arc of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist🌄s m𓃲anga and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime series, usually to combine it with Berformet to summon Chimera The Flying Mythical Beast.
Since then, Gazelle has become a part of the Phantom Beast archetype, but because it has no King of Phantom Beasts version, newer prints of the card have to include: (This card is always treated as a "Phantom Beast" card) in their errata. Making a proper Phantom Beast Effect Monster version of Gazelle could help eliminate this while also giving it an ef🐓fect that could be useful for beast decks.
5 ဣ Mammoth Graveyard
Mammoth Graveyard is an infamous Zombie-type Normal Monster that Yugi combined with Kaiba's Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:to decay it from the inside, decreasing its attack each turn. Mammoth Graveyard has three counterparts; the anime-exclusive Last Tusk Mamඣmoth from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX , the Fusion Monster Great Mammoth Of Goldfine, and the Effect Monster Zombie Mammoth.
Despite their rel🌞ationship, none are considered upgraded versions of Mammoth Graveyard. However, one could argue that Last Tusk Mammoth and Zombie Mammoth are Mammoth Graveyard at other stages of its life. A properly upgraded version of Mammoth Graveyard could decrease the Attack Points of one or all non-Zombie-type monsters each turn, referencing what it did in the original ♋Duel Monsters series.
4 Silver Fang 🍸
Silver Fang is a Beast-type Normal Monster that Yugi used a few times during the Duelist Kingdom arc. Silver Fang is relatively weak, a pale green wolf with a mere 1200 Attack Points and 800 Defense Points, the same as the similar Beast-type Normal Monster Wolf, considered ⭕i🦂ts counterparts.
Due to its lack of strength, Silver Fang is long overdue for an upgrade. It could connect to the Trap card Superior Howl, which it appears on the art of. Since Superior Howl's effect is about destroying one Equip card to reduce the Attack Points of all monsters on the field to their original amount, an upgraded Effect Monster version of Silver Fang could integrate that.
3 Winged Dragon Guardian Of The Fortress #1 ꧋ 🅷
One of the monsters Yugi used early on in the Duelist Kingdom arc and was the first monster to be summoned by Yami Yugi in the entire Duel Monsters series, Winged Dragon, Gu🐓ardian of the Fortress #1 has another less notable Winged Beast-type Normal Monster counterpart with Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #2, but has never received an upgraded version.
An upgraded version of this blue dragon could change its attribute from Wind to Fire, referencing the fireball attack it used in the original Duel Monsters series. It could also have an effect that destroys any Earth attribute monsters it battles, referencing the destruction of Seto Kaiba's Hitotsu-Me Giant.
2 Blackland Fire Dragon ♏
Blackland Fire Dragon first appeared in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! manga before the focus shifted to the Duel Monsters card game, so, strangely, after all these years, it has never received an upgraded form or counterpart monster. It was the first monster Yugi summoned, and ♔the first used to declare an att𒅌ack, so that should make it significant enough to get an upgraded version years later.
An upgraded Effect Monster version could reference the Bandai card game version by being a level five monster☂ with 2100 Attack Points and 1600 Defense Points. It could also reference the anime-exclusive Spell card Flying Dragon Whirl by sending other Dragon-type monsters to tꩲhe Graveyard to increase its Attack Points.
1 💦 S๊hining Friendship
A Fairy-type Normal Monster used by Tea in her duel against Mai Valentine when she was trying to encourage Yugi not to give up on saving his grandpa's soul from Pegasus, Shining Friendship has two counterparts, Petite Angel and Shining Peacephilia, respectively, but has never received an upgraded version despite its significance.
An upgraded effect version of Shining Friendship could connect to the four specific cards: the Unity, Yu-Jo Friendship, and Symbol of Friendship Spell cards, and the Judgment of the Pharaoh Trap cardꩵ. It could either search the deck for these cards when summoned or have its Attack Points boosted depending on how many are in your Graveyard.
