168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel provides a format that many TCG players haven't experienced before. Rather than using the TCG format, Master Duel utilizes the OCG card pool and banlist. The OCG, for the unfamiliar, is the format of the game that exists in countries such as Japan and South Korea.
Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are generally released in that format first before making their way over to the TCG. The two formats have entirely different banlists despite being the same game at its core.𓄧 Since Master Duel uses the OCG banlist, there are plenty of powerful cards available in it that are banned in the TCG.
10 Supreme King 𒈔Dragon Star🌊ving Venom
Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom was banned in the TCG due to an interaction with Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightiℱngale that allowed it to FTK the opponent, meaning it won the game on the first turn without even giving the opponent a chance to play.
In the OCG, however, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom has stuck around, and the FTK is still possible in the format. It is harder due to cards like Maxx "C,&ꦑquot; but still viable. Strangely, another card used for the FTK, The Tyrant Neptune, is banned while Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom is still allowed — at three copies per deck, no less.
9 Vanity's Emptiness
Vanity's Emptiness is one of the strongest Floodgates tha𓆉t have ꦐever been printed, and one that has been banned in the TCG since 201🗹7. It completely shuts down special summoning for both players.
It can be destroyed if the opponent has a way to force you to send a card from your deck or field to the Graveyard, but without special summoning, this can prove to be challenging. Vanity's Emptiness is no slouch in the Master Duel/OCG format either, and is currently limited to one copy per deck. Special summoning is a major part of Yu-Gi-Oh!, so a card that can shut it down is bound to be good.
8 Zoo♎diac Drident ✨
Zoodiacs have been a thorn in many players' sides since they released, even making up one of the few Tier Zero formats that the game has seen. Being able to Xyz Summon with just one Monster proved to be way too good, with Zoodiac Drident the face as to why it was so good. It has a simple effect: you can detach a material to pop a card on the field.
It's not uncommon for Zoodiac Drident to have a ton of material on it, allowing for multiple card destructions over the course of a duel. It's incredibly easy to make with how many support cards there are. It's banned in the TCG but limited in Master Duel.
7 Fairy Tail Snow 📖
Fairy Tail Snow, while being a very cute card, found its home full of dragons 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in Thunder Dragon decks. Fairy Tail Snow banishes Monsters for its effect. This allowed them ꧂to trigger easily, all while getting a Book of Moon-like effect to flip a Monster facedown.
The card was so good it had to be banned in the TCG but remaiཧns completely unrestricted in Maste💝r Duel. Fairy Tail Snow has easy recursion for Link plays, and amazing synergy with anything that wants cards banished.
6 🧜 🍬 Astrograph Sorcerer
The Pendulum mechanic has always been a heated topic for some, and Astrograph Sorcerer helped to show just 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:how powerful the mechanic could be. Ast🌟rograph Sorcerer is an incredibly versatile card that allowed for a ton of consistency for Pendulum decks. It has a One Scale, which is the best number a Scale can 🅠have.
Astrograph Sorcerer can easily special summon itself, and essentially recycle a card that was destroyed that turn. Pendulum decks love to destroy their Scales to get them into the Extra Deck for Pendulum Summons, and Astrograph Sorcerer provides free fodder🧔 for no downside.
5 Heavy🐓metalfoes Electrumite
Heavymetalfoes Electrumite is the premiere Pendulum Link Monster. Its arrows are fantastic, which is an extra boost to all Pendulum Summons that are happening from the Extra Deck. It also boosts up consistency quite a bit, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:as its own effect combos with itself.
It can destroy a Scale to put a Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck back🤡 into your hand. Then if a card is destroyed, you get to draw a card. Heavymetalfoes Electrumite does so much for Pendulum decks it had to be banned in the TCG, but is legal for play in Master Duel.
4 Thunder Dragon Colossus 🍌𝄹
Thunder Dragon Colossus is one of the main Boss Monsters of Thunder Dragons, and one that was banned during the transition from Master Rul♕e 4 to Master Rule 5. However, the OCG kept it around as a limited card, and by extension, the same is true for Master Duel.
Thunder Dragon Colossus shuts down so many combo decks, as it prevents the oppo💟nent from adding cards from their deck except by drawing them. It has a ton of protectioꦛn as well, as it can banish a Thunder Monster instead if it would be destroyed. This keeps it safe while triggering Thunder Dragon effects as well.
3 That Grass Looks Greener 🔯 ♋
That Grass Looks Greener can send over fifteen cards to the Graveyard, an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:effect that is so good that a card that sends just one card is limited to one copy per deck. Iꦏt does require a deck building restriction that you have to have more cards in your deck than the opponent.
However, there are plenty decks out there that don't mind this restriction, and in some cases even benefit from it. That Grass Looks Greener has a lot of potential for any Graveyard combo decks, and it's completely unlimited in Master Duel.
2 𝓰 True King Of All Ca𒁏lamities
A Rank Nine Xyz Monster, True King Of All Calamities is a game-ender if it ever hits the board. It can completely shut down the opponent's turn after its summon, negating the effects of all their Monsters on the field. It was so oppressive it had to be banned in the TCG.
However, Master Duel allows for one copy to be played, and in many cases that is more than enough. One True King Of All Calamities can win games on its own, and it's incredibly hard to get rid of to boot.
1 Maxx &q𒅌uot;C"👍;
Maxx "C" is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the most oppressive hand traps in the history of the game. At the cost of a simple discard, you can d♉raw a card any time the opponent special summons a Monster. Drawing cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! is the best effect in the game, as it allows you to more quickly draw 𒅌into your answers, combo starters, extenders, and win conditions.
Maxx "C" has been banned in the TCG since 2018. But the OCG, being much more lenient on card draw, has had Maxx "C" at three for quite some time. This makes Maxx "C" far and away the best card that is available in the game that isn't legal in the TCG.
