In the early days of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yu-Gi-Oh!, Reptileౠ-type monsters were among the least supported types in the entire card game. Over two decades later, Reptiles have some generic support and a few different archetypes, although not nearly as many as most other monster types. Reptile support may have improved a lot since their 1999 debut with the introduction of Alien, Cosmic, Ogdoadic, Reptilianne, and Worm archetypes, but despite this, the monster type stil🐲l severely lacks support.
But some Reptile monsters a⛦re quite powerful when put in the right situations; some could even be considered the best of the monster type.
10 Worm Zero
Worm Zero is the first and only Reptile-type 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fusion Monster in the game and a powerful member of the Worm archetype. Worm Zero can be Fusion Summoned by fusing two or more Reptile-type Worm monsters and gains 500 attack points for each Fusion Material monster with a different name, so it's best to use more than two. Its additional effects stack for every two differently named materials used and include; being able to Special Summon a Reptile monster from the Graveyard, destroying a monster by banishing a Reptile-type monster, and letting the player draw an extra card. All these effects can only be activated once per turn but may not be needed for long in a proper Worm deck.
9 𓄧Old Entity Has🐼torr
Old Entity Hastorr is a level 4 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Synchro Monster who, at first glance, doesn't seem great in terms of attack power, but its effect is where it shines. After being sent to the Graveyard from the Monster Zone, Hastorr can be equipped to one of the opponent's face-up monsters, preventing it from attacking and negating its effect. If Hastorr leaves the field while equipped to a monster, the player who summoned Hastorr gets to take control of the equipped monster. Preventing a strong opponent's monster from doing anything and being able to take control of it under certain conditions? It sounds too good to be true.
8 Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar
Cosmic Fortress Gol'Gar is a level five Synchro Monster and a member of the Cosmic and Alien archetypes. Gol'Gar requires Alien Ammonite and one or more non-tune Alien monsters to be summoned, and of course, their levels must add up to five. Gol'Gar can return any chosen number of face-up spell and trap cards to the owners' hands and then can put A-counters on monsters on the field equal to the number of cards returned. After doing this, Gol'Gar can destroy any one card on the field that has two A-counters once per turn. Being able to deactivate pesky spells and traps and destroy powerful monsters afterward makes Gol'Gar a helpful ally and powerful adversary.
7 Cosmic Slicer Zer'roll
Cosmic Slicer Zer'oll is a Reptile-type 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Link Monster that requires at least three Reptile-type monsters to be Link Summoned. Zer'oll's effect ensures that any opponent-controlled monster with an A-counter is changed to defense position and that their effects cannot be activated. When Zer'oll has been Link Summoned, it allows the player to add one card with an A-Counter placing effect from their deck to their hand. Zer'oll can also remove two A-Counters from anywhere on the field to Normal Summon one Reptile-type monster. Zer'oll's effects may be A-Counter reliant, but that shouldn't be an issue in a modernized Alien deck.
6 Reptilianne Echidnﷺa💮
Reptilianne Echidna is a Link Monster of the Reptilianne archetype and requires two monsters to be summoned, one of which must be a Reptile-type. If Link Summoned, the player can target one of the opponent's face-up monsters and reduce its attack points to zero. Then, during the Main Phase, the player can add Reptile monsters with different names from their deck to their hand up to the number of the opponent's monsters with zero attack points, but after, only Reptile-type monsters can be summoned from the player's Extra Deck until the turn ends. In a Reptile centric deck, this limitation doesn't even matter.
5 King Of Feral Imps ꦦ
The King Of Feral Imps is an upgraded Xyz version of Des Feral Imp. The King Of Feral Imps only req𒁏uires 2 four star monsters as Xyz materials,🦂 and they can be monsters of any type. By detaching one Xyz material, the player can add one Reptile-type monster from their deck to their hand once per turn.
Because the King Of Feral Imp's effect has no limit to the level of searched monsters, whoever played the card can add any powerful Reptile-type monster from their deck to their hand to get it out on the field faster than they would otherwise.
4 Jorm💫ungan𓆏dr, Generaider Boss Of Eternity
Jormungandr is the only Reptile-type member and only Xyz monster of the Generaider archetype, but that doesn't make it any less of a threat. Jormungandr requires two or more level nine monsters as Xyz material, but that's not difficult to do with the right cards. Jormungandr's original attack and defense are 1000 points times the number of materials it has. Additionally, it has a quick effect where by detaching one material, each player will draw one card, and each player that drew must attach one card from their hand or field to Jormungandr. Luckily for the opponent, this can only happen once per turn.
3 🧸 Gagagigo The Risen 🍬
The Gagagigo line has some of the most recognizable cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! to long-time players. While there is no fusion, synchro, pendulum, or link monsters in the Gagagigo line, there is one Xyz monster in the form of Gagagigo the Risen. While Gagagigo the risen has no effect, just like most other cards in the line, it's easier to summon than its dark normal monster counterpart Gogiga Gagagigo, since it requires three level 4 monsters as Xyz materials rather than two unspecific tributes.
This may seem harder to summon at first, but with how many level-4 monsters have Special Summoning effects, Gagagigo Thꩵe Risen can be summoned relatively fast.
2 🥂 ဣ Ogdoabyss The Ogdoadic Overlord
Ogdoabyss, The Ogdoadic Overlord, is a member of the Ogdoadic archetype and is the most powerful monster within the archetype in terms of raw attack power. While Ogdoabyss can be summoned normally, it can also be Special Summoned from the Graveyard by tributing three monsters from the field. When Ogdoabyss is face-up on the field, it can send all monsters from the field to the Graveyard as long as they haven't been Special Summoned from the Graveyard. These effects can only be used once per turn, but in a proper deck, it can destroy most if not all the opponent's monsters while keeping the player's monsters safe.
1 Vennominon The King Of Poisonous Snakes 🦂
Vennominon is an effect monster and a member of the Venom archetype. While Vennominon can be Special Summoned, he can't be Special Summoned by the effect of another Effect Monster and is unaffected by the Venom Swamp Field Spell. Vennominon also gains 500 attack points for every Reptile-type monster in the player's Graveyard, so it's best to have a decent amount before summoning him. If Vennominon is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, he can be Special Summoned back to the field if the player banishes one other Reptile-type monster from their Graveyard. Vennominon can be a difficult monster to get rid of if not banished.
