Konami has given fans an extended look at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, showing off the story mode as well as competitive multiplayer. It also confirmed a vague launch window, with it potentially only a few months awa🌱y from launch.

Konami's Tokyo Game Show stream is the first major look we've had at Master Duel, which is a free-to-play adaptation of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG that aims to bring over 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:10,000 cards from across the game's history into digital form. Of course, we got a look at the core multiplayer game mode, with two of the show's hosts facing off in a very high-energy match. Link summoning played a key role in the game, though other special summoning techniques like Pendulum summoning have also been confirmed.

As noticed by , when asked about the potential for cross-play between platforms, PR manager Suzuki Shunsake told F🍰amitsu that, while there is no confirmation being made at Tokyo Game Show, "people should look forward to future details".

The hour-long stream also showed off a single-player story mode that takes a radically different approach to the stories seen in other Yu-Gi-Oh! games: instead of adaptingꦰ the same old arcs and characters, it instead provides more backstory of the cards and expansions themselves. While the streams are all🐽 in Japanese, it appears as though the Qliphort and Gem-Knight archetypes are among those being explored in the solo story.

Considering Yu-Gi-Oh!'s lore can be indecipherable to even veteran players, having a look at what's actually going on in the card art being played is potentially one of the most interesting selling points Master Duel has so far.

Finally, Konami also confirmed it is aiming for a Winter 2021 launch for Master Duel, at least in Japan. It isn't known if Konami is aiming for a near-simultaneous global release, or whether there will be a wait between the Japanese and international launches. It also isn't known if "Winter 2021" means by December of this year, or the more vague Q4 2021, which runs through to March 2022.
