DJ Anton Zaslavski, more famously known as Zedd, joined Twitch in the most spectacular way this past weekend, debuting with a 90-minute concert video. The broadcast was part of "Orbit World Tour" series, previously performed in San Francisco. Afterwards, he dove straight into some VALORANT, giving fans a "backstage access" type of experience. In his first gameplay stream ever, Zedd played for over five hours and showed off some impressive skills throughout. Despite being brand new to the Twitch platform, Zedd brought in over twenty-five thousand viewers on his inaugural stream. Given that he is quite good at the game, has a following of music fans, and had Twitch drops enabled for ꦿkeys to access the closed beta of VALORANT – we are sure t🐟o see much more action from him in the future. Zedd’s love for tactical shooters like VALORANT should come as no surprise to his fans. The musician has long been a fan of other competitive shooters like Overwatch and has been featured as the entertainment during the Overwatch꧑ League Grand Finals in 2019.
Not only is Zedd a fan, he is among🐠 the highest skilled players in the world, known for his commanding ability to dominate an opposing team with Widowmaker at Grandmaster rank in competitive mode. Grandmaster is the highest mode one can reach, taking considerable skill a🐟nd dedication to reach.
Zedd is so well-known within the gaming community and by Blizz💯ard that a special Widowmaker skin was teased in his honor. Unfortunately, the reveal of the special skin appears to only have been a conceptual design, as nothing has been released since its reveal last September (though we’re hopeful📖 that might change in the future.)
Now the real question is whether Zedd plans to make streaming a regular part of his life. While the musician is certainly busy with creative projects, the ability to leverage his fans into such high viewership numbers is something that many would kill to have. Observing the stream above reveals that Zedd is calm, collected, and effortlessly interacts with fans – an impressive stꦡart on Twitch for the young musician.
