There has been an update on the development of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as the voice work for the game is now recorded.
A sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was anno𒅌unced during the Nintendo Direct event held during E3 2019. Since then, we have heard nothing about the game. To date, we still don't know the title of the ꩲgame, nor its release date. All we know about the game comes from the initial trailer, where Link and Princess Zelda encounter an undead monster and Hyrule Castle starts to rise from the ground.
It seems that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel is further along in development than anyone thought. According to , the Spanish voice actors for Princess Zelda and Revali confirmed on a♚ podcast that their voice work for the game i✨s finished.
Voice acting is something that is usually completed late into development, as the bulk of the work has already been done and it prevents the need to bring actors back in to record more dialogue if changes have to be made to the story. With that being said, the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild could still be a long way off. The fact that♔ we have seen so little of the game suggests it's not far in development, especially as the Switch's 2020 schedule is hurting for new releases that would make fans excited about the system.
The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most highly anticipated games for the Switch, and it's exciting to think that development has progressed to the point where the international voice work is finished. Fans probably shouldn't expect to be able to play the game this year (except for a possible holiday season releas♉e), but a return trip to Hyrule feels closer than ever before.
The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is currently in development for Nintendo Switch.
