The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Zelda series, in its near 35-year run, has introduced a number of different characters. While many remain limited to their own games, some are significant enough to stretch across the convoluted timeline and make reappearances. These are usually major characters: Link, Zelda, Ganon, Impa, and even Epona, for example. It's not often, though, that Nintendo trie🔯s to make a new recurring character. And🦹 then there's Tingle.
Tingle is a 35-year-old man who wears a red speedo over green tights. He looks like a goblin and usually ends up getting tied to a number of fetch quests. Tingle is not very well-loved in the West, as his design is creepy and he's mildly obnoxious. Bizarrely, Japan loves Tingle enough that he got his own series of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:spin-off games on the Nintendo DS and has a whole family and some parallel universe꧅ forms. The only question now is: which ones are the least terrible?
8 Tingle
Of course, Tingle is at the bottom of a list for Tingle-esque designs. Tingle's design is, quite frankly, just terrible. As a character, Tingle isn't a great person. Through the DS titles, particularly Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love, it becomes clear that Tingle is a being of pretty much pure greed. Everything bad that happens to him is absolutely deserved, even if he gets a redemption arc of sorts. The Tingle games weren't 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:great for sales either. It's a miracle he's still a relဣevant character꧑.
But in terms of his design, why is his so much worse than any of his siblings? They're all pretty much identical, after all. The reasoning is that Tingle's Christmas-colored spandex is🍌 both gaudy and embarra𒅌ssing. He's also patient zero with the design: no other Tingle would exist without this awful fashion disaster.
7 ✨ Tingle's Uncle
Tingle's Uncle appears in Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland and is a traveling salesman of sorts. He lives on a continent that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Link never visited and remains out of canon. He sells Tingle the credits at the end of Rosy Rupeeland, which is admittedly kind of 🌱ingenious in a game all about making and spending money. Other than that, there isn't much to say about his Uncle's character, and there aren't too many images of him.
It should be noted that the Tingle games are not considered canon, and therefore his Uncle isn't actually real. However, he still has an interesting design. He dress🐼es very similarly to Tingle except with a businessman's aesthetic, including briefcase and tie. If his outfit was a different color, he'd be higher on the list.
6 Knuckle
Knuckle is Tingle's angry younger brother. In The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wind Waker, he's a carver that created the Tingle Statues the player collects. He also makes appearances with the rest of his siblings in The Minish Cap and Four Swords Adventures. He's a tad lazier than 🔯his siblings, and that's about the extent of his personality.
Knuckle is blue Tingle. This is a better color than Tingle's mess of spande🐈x, making him sligh🌳tly less bad to look at. There are also a couple of minor changes between him and Tingle. The Tingle siblings are about on the same level, but Knuckle is the worst of the three.
5 Ankle
Ankle is Tingle's other younger brother and Knuckle's twin. Ankle sees Knuckle as a lazy good-for-nothing slouch, especially since Knuckle refuses to help Ankle with any day-to-day chores. Ankle cares for a flower garden on Tingle Is🥂land, and has a knack for taking care of them. He can also read maps, like Tingle.
Ankle is — well, pink Tingle. Much like Knuckle this only goes so far in making the design less gaudy, although th🎃e pink is certainly a choice. It's likely a toss-up for most people whether Ankle is better than Knuckle in design, since the two are so similar. The confidence it takes to wear that pink spandex is something that shouldn't be ignored.
4 David Jr.
David Jr. is not actually a blood relative of the Tingle family. If their dialogue in The Minish Cap is to be believed, none of them even know why David Jr. is there with them. However, The Wind Waker reveals the secret that David Jr. is actually just some dude who went on a journey to find lost treasure, and e🎐ventually wound up on Tingle Island where he's forced to help the real Tingle siblings.
David Jr. is a hilarious character in his concept. His frown and outward contempt towards the rest of the Tingles is relatable on a deep, personal level. Plus, the color of his uniform isn't incredibly gaudy and terrible. Based purely on his des♛ign, though, he's only 🧸just slightly better than his siblings.
3 ﷽ Swamp Tourist Center Guide
Without a real name of his own, Swamp Tourist Center Guide (or just Guide) is Tingle's canon father. Tingle does have different parents in Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love, but they aren't considered his real parents a☂nd are just part of the storybook Tingle is in. The Guide resents how m🌌uch of a failure his son is, particularly his son's obsession with fairies.
His design isn't that much different than other similar NPCs in Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. However, he does have a cool helmet and goggles, which is a step above the rest. He's better than the T🔯ingle siblings because he is decidedly not T🍷ingle shaped or inspired. It's an incredibly low bar.
2 Barkle
Every excellent game has an excellent dog in it. The ultimate heroes have pets that they appropriately can take care of and take on adventures. For some reaওson, Tingle is no different in this regard. Barkle is Tingle's pet dog in the DS trilogy. He's loyal to Tingle and joins him on his journey to make more money.
Barkle is super cute. Sure, it's just a cutesy dog in a green costume, but is that really a bad thing? It's treated as a monster and is a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:boss fight fake-out, but it's the perfect partner for Tingle. The fact he still has the dog after the events of Rosy Rupeeland shows that Tingle isn't that bad of a person, at least ♒towards his wonderful doღg.
1 Purlo
Purlo isn't actually related to any members of the Tingle family. However, it was revealed that the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Twilight Princess STAR game host is actually inspired by Tingle's design. He's considered to be Tingle if Tingle had a normal design. He has some similar traits to Tingle (at least the Tingle from the DS games), and it's clear in his outfit there was inspiration𝔍 taken.
When Tingle's design isn't that of a goblin, it's actually a fun design. Purlo has a goofy hood on his head, but he's also well-dressed and mostly well-adjusted. It's a far cry from the traditional Tingle character. It's a shame this alternate reality Tingle didn't catch on in the Zelda series.♒ If we see Tingle again, hopefully he looks a little more like Purlo.
