I like to run the Critical Role resurrection rules so that death isn't a problem which just goes away if you throw𒆙 enough money at it. However, I add one homebrew rule:

If a ritual fails, there can be a second attempt, but all resurrection assistances are rolled with disadvantage, signifying the p♏arty are trying to entice back a soul which has already shown it doesn't want to return. This makes an intense atmosphere of "one last, desperate try" before the character is lost forever.
